The first M car, developed with Lamborghini to beat Porsche at Group 5, and the only wedge BMW ever built — drawn by Giorgetto Giugiaro. Forty of them raced each other on F1 weekends, with the five fastest F1 practice drivers automatically taking the front row. About 460 were made.
