Speeed’s take
Brass white-gas stove whose design traces to the late 1800s. You warm the tank, pressure builds, vaporised fuel screams through a jet, and the flame keeps the whole loop going. Runs on white gas, which Speeed maintains makes food taste better than isobutane — and which Speeed also managed to accidentally drink.
“Once the backpacking boom hit in the '60s and '70s, this was the stove to have. It's simple and elegant and sounds like a tiny little fighter jet.”
